In The Numbered Streets
For decades Roma families have lived in the small Numbered Streets neighborhood of Miskolc, Hungary. After Fidesz politicians won power in local elections In 2010, they began to target the Roma. Soon they were evicting families and razing homes to make way for a renovated football stadium and new parking lot. In all, Fidesz destroyed half the homes in the Numbered Streets, many far from the stadium, forcing residents to flee.
